Insurance & Billing
San Diego Neonatology, Inc. is an independent physician practice; our physicians are not employed by the hospital. Therefore, billing for our services is prepared directly through our organization, not through the hospital.
We accept most insurances plans and will submit your claims accordingly; however, we encourage you to verify your benefits with your insurance company. Verifying benefits will ensure you receive the maximum benefits available to you. Please bring your insurance card to the hospital so that we can make a copy for our records. Also, please contact our Billing Department to inform us of any changes to your insurance plan, including adding an insurance company or Medi-Cal. Any changes of this type may not be automatically passed to our Billing Department staff, even if the hospital is aware of the change.
Statements:
You will receive a monthly statement listing charges for services received, pending insurance claims and any payments made in the past 30 days. Your financial responsibility will be listed in the patient balance column. Payment in full is required by the date due.
Please note: you will receive separate billing statements from the hospital and San Diego Neonatology, Inc.
